Following on from my recent post about Sumita and Josef’s engagement shoot I was back at The High rocks to shoot their wedding. They had decided to book me for a few hours to cover the ceremony, reception, speeches, getting some family/friend shots and of course taking them over to the rocks for some romantic couple shots.
It was great to back at this wonderful venue only a couple of weeks after Leila and Colin’s wedding and to be back in the barn which has a lovely rustic feel to it which fitted in with their wedding decor. Josef looked very smart with his suit and bow tie and Sumita absolutely stunning in her dress and lovely bouquet. As they and a lot of their guests were deaf there were 2 ladies there that were able to translate into sign language then and translate what Sumita and Josef were saying in sign back to the guests. Everything went without a hitch and Josef even got carried away getting the kiss in early that planned! After the ceremony we went up to the High Rocks for canapés and drinks giving Sumita and Josef a chance to greet all of their guests. We were then quickly back down to the Hotel for the reception and some wonderful speeches after dinner. Once the speeches had finished we went into the grounds and I captured all of the group family and friend shots they wanted mixing in some fun stuff as well. It was then up to the rocks where I got some beautiful romantic shots of the two of them. Thank you Sumita and Josef for letting me be part of your wonderful day.
I will blog about the Indian part of the wedding that was 2 days later soon.
