Kate and Pete found me through my Facebook page and contacted me about their wedding photography at Hoath House in Chiddingstone. We met up at the Royal Wells Hotel for a drink and talk through their plans and give them a chance to have a look through some of my wedding albums. I was very pleased that they decided to book me for their wedding photography as Hoath House certainly looked like a hidden gem of a venue.
I met them at Hoath House a week before the wedding to give me a chance to have a look round, something that I always try and do for a venue that I haven’t worked at before. The images on the website had not done this wonderful venue justice it was truely stunning with some fantastic views across the downs.
On the day we arrived to get some shots of Kate and her bridal party getting ready and getting hair and make up done. Every so often one of us would nip down and get some shots of the guests arriving and Pete greeting them, one of the joys of working in one venue for the whole day. The ceremony took place in two adjoining rooms, one of the quirky little things about this venue.
After the ceremony everyone went out onto the lawn and we got some great candid shots of Kate and Pete and their guests, with a few formal portraits that they wanted. For the wedding breakfast they decided on roast pork with a twist, each table had an allocated chef (hat included) that was responsible for carving the joints of meat that were put on the tables.
It was such a fun day and it was great looking back through these images again…
