Another one of my favourite weddings from last year! Carrie and Derrick were originally going to use me for their whole wedding day but circumstances meant that they had to split their wedding into 2 days and I was pleased that they could book me for their ceremony for a few hours, unfortunately I was unable to shoot the reception the following day due to another wedding.
They were getting married at Tunbridge Wells registry office but I’d arranged to meet them in Southborough as they had hired a lovely vintage bus to take them and their guests from their home in Tonbridge through to Tunbridge Wells. Going with them on the bus gave me an opportunity to capture some great shots in the bus, it was such a relaxed atmosphere. The had both decided to go for a vintage look with Carrie and the girls sporting fantastic dresses with amazing hair and make-up. After the ceremony we went up to Calverley Park and got some great shots of them with their family and friends. Once I’d got all of the group shots they wanted we boarded the bus and headed back to Southborough to The Hand and Sceptre where I was able to get the two of them alone and get some lovely fun and romantic shots on the bus and over on the common.
Carrie and Derrick and these kind words to say: “Simon was our photographer when we got married in September. We met him several months before to discuss what we were looking for and he was friendly and easygoing from the start. He was good enough to get on the vintage bus we’d hired and ride to and from the wedding with us and all our guests, and the result of all this were some fantastic photos!!!!
I would recommend Simon for any special occasion and hope we can use him again in the future.”
